Data-corpus

The data of the ScriptCut! program are organized hierarchically:

• project (→ script)
• scenes (→ assigned roles)
• roles (→ Scenes in which the respective role occurs)

The links between scenes and roles ensure that the context of the individual elements is always maintained. This ensures clarity and intuitive navigation within the script.

Using the script analysis, the program searches the text of a script for certain formatting or text markups and thus recognizes scenes and roles.

In addition to the structured screenplay content, a

• list of addresses

(actors, actresses, agencies...) can be maintained in which the contact details and images (photos, logos...) can be stored.
This gives you quick access to all information.

A reference to this data can be assigned to each scene and role, although this is not limited to a project (script). Especially in series, the same actors and actresses often act — their data is therefore available in all projects.
Of course, all contacts can also be linked to each other.
